May we meet in the middle where we are One
Humans are unique in our ability to create; we are bound by the forces and fate of the elements that make up reality, but we are endowed with the ability to structure, and mold the elements that surround us. We are co-creators with the divine; our imaginings can become realities when our hands and hearts come together to bring forth our inner world and sharing it with others, adds beauty and form to our outer world.
I began working with Photoshop and Illustrator, as well as photography, over a decade ago and found them as an avenue to express my inner world. I was recently introduced to Chaotica – a fractal generating software – which opened up a whole new realm to me as math combined with art in a way that mimics nature itself. In some ways, working with fractals has become a mystical practice in and of itself, revealing that we are living fractals as our universe is a living piece of art that iterates through reality manifesting patterns within patterns.
I believe that humanity can heal itself, and I believe creativity and art will be an integral part of that process. We must figure out ways to come together, weaving our lives, our dreams, and our visions together to create a world that allows our personal freedoms, but also honors and remembers that we are also part of nature, and I hope in some ways that my art can reflect how we are connected, our inner divinity and the divinity that permeates throughout the universe.
I have been inspired by many teachings from both Western and Eastern mysticism and wish to honor some of my Teachers: Sri Mata Amritananda Mayi Maa (aka Amma) a living example of compassion, Paramahamsa Yogananda for introducing me and the world to Kriya Yoga, Neem Karoli Baba who opened my heart from the subtle realms to the joy of service and the flow of spiritual practice as a natural organic process, Mooji for pointing inquiry inward to discover the already present reality of the innate divinity of our awareness, and all the Avatars that walked the earth to reveal The path of Love to humanity, Yeshua (Jesus Christ) Krishna, Rama, The Buddha, Lao Tzu, and so many more, I offer my bows to your Lotus feet. I also wish to show gratitude to the many amazing artists who inspire me and whom I lookup to: Alex Grey, Android Jones, Michelangelo, Salvador Dali, MC Escher, Tool, Pink Floyd, TV on the Radio, and every amazing beautiful artist out there – too many to mention, Thank you all for what you contribute to humanity.
May Peace, Wisdom, and Love fill your days, May we meet in the middle of being and recognize that We are One, Adonai
